BOEHS CONSTRUCTION, LLC RECEIVES HONOR AND PREPARES FOR A BRIGHT FUTURE Wick Buildings Annual Meeting held in Branson, Missouri
MAZOMANIE, Wis. (March 25, 2014) – Wick Builders received information to help them provide a higher value building experience for their customers in a series of workshops during the Wick Buildings 2014 Annual Meeting. Educational sessions focused on building products and components, gaining a better understanding of customer needs and next generation estimating and design tools. The three-day event was held at the Chateau on the Lake Conference Center in Branson, Missouri, on March 12, 13 and 14. It was attended by more than 200 builders and industry participants ranging from Colorado to Ohio.
“Tyler Boehs of Boehs Construction, LLC in Grant, Nebraska took an active role in the sessions which were designed for both sharing and learning information.” said Tom Wick, President and General Manager for Wick Buildings, Inc. Mr. Wick added, “We strive to provide our customers with greater value in the building and the building process, and this meeting certainly helped us to achieve that goal.”
Wick Buildings honored Boehs Construction, LLC for constructing a Building Of The Year in the category of Judges Choice. Only 19 buildings were selected for Building of the Year honors from over one thousand that were completed by Wick Builders in 2013. Many of these buildings were also submitted for national awards which will be selected by the National Frame Builders Association.
This year’s meeting was a special milestone in the history of Wick Buildings for two reasons. Wick is celebrating 60 years as a family-owned business and also became an employee-owned company late in 2013 through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP.) The theme of the meeting was “60 Years Strong” to reflect on the company’s strong history and future, and the opportunity to grow in the post-frame steel building industry.
In continuous operations since 1954 and with more than 70,000 buildings completed, Wick Buildings provides post-frame structures for agricultural, dairy, equine, residential storage, municipal, commercial and light industrial markets. Wick Buildings are sold by independent builders, and built by independent builders and Wick crews who live and work in their local communities.
